Ashley Tisdale as Sharpay Evans
High School Musical actually helped Ashley Tisdale set a Billboard record as well. As theater diva Sharpay Evans, the songs “What I’ve Been Looking For” and “Bop to the Top” made her the first female artist to debut with two songs simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100.
Combined with her popularity starring as Maddie Fitzpatrick on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Tisdale’s debut album peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 in 2007 and her second album Guilty Pleasure fell just short of the top 10 placing at number 12. She released her third album, Symptoms, in 2019.
Tisdale has been the most successful artist of the original High School Musical franchise and even featured former cast members Vanessa Hudgens and Lucas Grabeel in her music sessions on YouTube.
