Chad Danforth was a lovable jock who said he could not dance, but consistently proved he could. Corbin Bleu has continued to prove his staying power both in the music world and on the Broadway stage.

Bleu released his debut album Another Side the same year High School Musical 2 premiered and it reached number 36 on the Billboard charts. However, his lead single from the album, “Push It to the Limit,” is the highest charting non-High School Musical song amongst the cast where it peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100. He released a second album Speed of Light in 2009 and appeared on Disney projects like Disneymania 5, Disney Channel Holiday and Disney Channel Playlist.

Bleu has done well on stage as well. On Broadway, he was a replacement for the lead role of Usnavi in In the Heights in 2010, he replaced Hunter Parrish as Jesus in Godspell in 2012, originated the role of Ted Hanover in Holiday Inn in 2016 and was part of the revival cast for Kiss Me, Kate in 2019, which earned him a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical. He has also made two Hollywood Bowl appearances as Seaweed in Hairspray alongside Nick Jonas and as Sky in Mamma Mia! Alongside Dove Cameron.
