Paris Hilton Shows Her Support For Britney Spears During Her Conservatorship Battle

Paris Hilton is showing huge support for her old friend Britney Spears.

The socialite-turned DJ was performing a set during the grand opening of the Resorts World Las Vegas earlier this morning (June 25). The hotel heiress shouted Spears out to show her support during her conservatorship battle.

“We love you, Britney. Free Britney. We are thinking of you. I love you Britney,” Hilton said. After the shout-out, she played one Spears’ hits, “Piece of Me,” while the crowd partied the night away. The star-studded grand opening included; Kendall Jenner, Kris Jenner, Usher, and Steve Aoki

In addition to showing her love to the crowd, the 40-year-old wore an outfit that seemed to resemble what Spears wore in her 2003 “Toxic” music video. A party-goer tweeted,@ParisHilton is doing Britney cosplay tonight in Vegas. #FreeBritney,” which Hilton liked.

Later today (June 25), the heiress showed her support again as she tweeted, “11:11 – #MakeAWish  #FreeBritney.”

Earlier this week, Spears appeared virtually in court to speak out against her conservatorship and how she’s felt “abused” and “bullied.” The pop star referenced Hilton’s claims of being verbally and physically abused at Provo Canyon School, when she was 17.

“The Paris Hilton story on what they did to her at that school, I didn’t believe any of it. “I’m sorry… I’m an outsider and I’ll just be honest, I didn’t believe it. And maybe I’m wrong, and that’s why I didn’t want to say any of this to anybody, to the public because people would make fun of me, or laugh at me and say, ‘She’s lying, she’s got everything, she’s Britney Spears.’ I’m not lying,” Spears shared.

Some fans felt as if Spears was trying to throw shade at Hilton, but Britney fans quickly clapped back to let them know that they are taking her statement out of context. Hilton liked a series of tweets, which assured she didn’t take anything she said personally. Hilton liked a tweet that someone posted, “y’all are dumb. Britney wasn’t dragging Paris. She was using her situation as an example. She was close to Paris for over a decade and I’m sure she meant it like “I knew this girl for years and didn’t believe what she said, so I knew people would have this same feeling about me.”
