A polarizing figure in the NBA universe is back in the league as the Houston Rockets hired former Celtics head coach Ime Udoka.
Udoka had a breakout first season as head coach of the Celtics a season ago, which included a trip to the NBA Finals. With that said, Udoka was relieved of duties before this season, beginning after claims of sexual harassment from multiple female employees of the Celtics.

Udoka comes into the Rockets with a massive opportunity of proving he is one of the brightest head coaches in the NBA and in a situation with a team that is filled with many talented but inexperienced players, such as Jalen Green, Jabari Smith, and Alperen Sengun, to name a few.
The Rockets recently let go of Stephen Silas after multiple seasons with the franchise; if Udoka can control his behavior off the court, he may be able to turn his career around from a very dark spot.

Other coaches in the running for the Rockets job included former Lakers world champion head man Frank Vogel and another title-winning head coach in Nick Nurse, whom the Raptors recently fired.
All in all, the Rockets made a high-risk/high-reward decision by hiring Ime Udoka, but only time will tell if Coach Udoka has learned from his mistakes.
