Selena Gomez just launched her summer swimwear collection in partnership with brand La’Mariette!
The singer teamed up with her friend and former manager Theresa Minus and business partner Morgan Brutocao to create and execute an inclusivity campaign.
In a press release, the brand emphasized that the swim line’s intention is to “[celebrate] the fact that all bodies are beautiful.”
Gomez took to Instagram to reiterate this message, saying, “What I love about this brand is that it celebrates women who love their bodies unconditionally giving themselves the grace they deserve. Hope you love it as much as I do.”

In discussing her design process, the singer notes that “after going through swatches, [her] favorite color was purple. [She] wanted to stay away from colors [she’s] used to like red and white.”
“Purple felt different for me and we added pops of color like green and neons here and there; it really becomes your own suit however you wear it,” she continues.
This release is not be the first time the artist has designed swimwear; In 2019, Mingus launched a collection under the name Krahs. The bestselling style was created to help Gomez hide scars from her kidney transplant surgery.
This time, the collection focuses on self confidence and authenticity. In a press release, Brutocao illustrates the inspiration behind the designs:
“The Aura print is inspired by Selena, her aura shines through in everything she does and we want everyone else to feel that sort of transformative feeling of being their most authentic self. Selena’s confidence is unmatched and being able to design a print with her which embodies that is so rewarding.”
