Tayshia Adams Hospitalized After Completing New York City Marathon, Apologies to Fans for Getting Them Scared

These last few days have been a rollercoaster for Tayshia Adams.

The Bachelorette co-host — who participated in the New York City Marathon last Sunday (November 7) — checked into a hospital on Thursday (November 11).

She posted a photo to her Instagram Stories hooked up to an IV while laying in hospital while laying in a hospital bed for hours.

“Welp I’ve been here since 9:30 a.m.,” Adams shared. “What a day 🤒.”

While she didn’t disclose if the hospitalization was due to the marathon, a source told Us Weekly yesterday (November 11) that “details [were] unknown [at the time] but it [was] likely related to her marathon recovery.”

The former Bachelorette had previously told Bachelor Nation about the tough recovery process she’s been enduring since the race with her fiancé Zac Clark. Making her marathon debut, the 30-year-old had completed the race in a whopping 4 hours and 40 minutes. Adams ran in support of World Vision, a Christian charity specializing in humanitarian aid.

Running along side her future husband the whole time, Clark took to Instagram to praise Adams on her strength. He explains that she could’ve used her chronic knee and back pain or lack of training as vindication to not participate but she still persevered.

“She would never tell the world how truly inspiring her performance was yesterday at the @nycmarathon but I will,” he wrote. “She is allergic to excuses. She could have bailed at anytime in the past four months, her PR team would have handled it, but that is just not who she is. She said she was going to do something and she did it.

Earlier today (November 12), Adams sent her fans another update via Instagram Stories, sharing that she has officially checked out of the hospital, is getting some rest, and will update everyone on her recovery real soon.

“Hiii — thank you all so much for your loving messages,” she shared on Instagram. “I’m home & resting up. Sorry for scaring so many of you. Gonna nap & I’ll follow up with y’all soon! Xo.”

We’re glad to see that Tayshia is feeling better and will keep you posted regarding more updates.
