A new week means there’s a new round of contestants vying for a spot in the Season 17 finale of America’s Got Talent, and last night (August 30) viewers saw eleven more acts show off their extraordinary talents to win the most votes.
After seeing a golden buzzer saxophonist to a deranged comedian singing about parmesan cheese, the first installment of live shows set the bar high for the most-watched reality competition series. Week two also saw exceptional talent, as we were treated to performances from a wide range of entertainers, including badass country girl groups and aerialist couples that were literally flying through the air. Unfortunately, things started to take a turn last week, as we witnessed an array of disasters that included pitchy singing and a TikTok going wrong in real-time.
We prepared ourselves for the unknown this evening, as tonight’s round of performances could go either way — would this be another thrilling night of performances, or would America be left wondering why our number one talent show is lacking actual talent?
