After introducing the world to its new competitive format last Tuesday (August 9), America’s Got Talent returned for its second round of live shows last night (August 16), introducing eleven different performers who will fight for America’s vote to earn one of the two coveted spots to compete in the finale.
Last week, we watched as eleven acts vigorously competed to secure their spot at semis. After two hours of intense competition, it was announced that Drake Milligan and Avery Dixon emerged on top, moving on to compete in the semi-finals. And after the rollercoaster that was last week’s episode, we knew that we were in for ~something~ when the clock struck 8PM. It seems as if judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara agreed, as they touted the evening’s presentation “the most competitive episode [they] have ever seen.”
