Tyler Herro Has Made 19 Threes in His Last Two Games & Became the Youngest Player in Heat History to Score 40 Points in a Game

Miami Heat four-year pro-Tyler Herro is setting the league on fire as the reigning Six Man of the Year Award Winner has scored career highs in the Heat’s last two games as Herro scored 35 points on Wednesday against the Thunder and 41 points on Thursday against the Rockets.

The Heat have won both of these games where Herro has been at the helm as they defeated the Thunder 110-108, followed by a 111-108 victory over the Rockets.

Herro made a combined nineteen triples in those two games and tied-the Heat franchise record for most threes in a game with ten as he sits in first place in the category with Mario Chalmers, amongst others.

Something of note, Herro became the first Heat player since LeBron James in 2014 to score at least 35 points in back-to-back games.

Herro came into this season after agreeing to a four-year $130 million extension with Miami after being the NBA’s best bench player a season ago. Fortunately for Herro, he has been a rare bright spot in a very up-and-down season for the Heat, as the team has struggled to close out games as they have blown multiple games with disappointing second-half performances.

With that said, mainly due to Herro’s recent success, Miami has won three consecutive games and will look for another win on Saturday as they travel to Mexico City to face off against the Spurs.

All in all, it’s been fun to watch the ascension of Tyler Herro from Sixth Man of the Year to stardom right in front of our eyes.
