Ten months after getting engaged in Paris, Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun have called it quits. The breakup news comes hours after Lavigne was spotted having dinner with Kylie Jenner’s ex-boyfriend Tyga.

Lavigne is best known for her successful music career, including having the highest-selling album by a Canadian artist in the 21st century and eight Grammy nominations. As for Sun, he is also a musician with experience in pop punk and hip hop and has been part of two groups and also has solo music.
This relationship began in March of 2021 when the duo took to social media to announce their pairing. A little over a year later, in April of 2022, Sun romantically proposed to Lavigne while the lovebirds were in one of the most romantic places in the world, Paris.

Now, almost a year later, this short-term relationship is over, and it seems as if Lavigne has moved on quickly as she was seen leaving Malibu hotspot Nobu with “Rack City” rapper Tyga.

Tyga is known for multiple relationships, including one with Rob Kardashian’s baby momma Blac Chyna and Rob’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner.
This seems like an improbable pairing, but Hollywood is a spontaneous place. Nothing seems to shock people anymore in the celebrity world, but the sighting was surprising.
It will be interesting to monitor whether more dirt or behind-the-scenes details of the relationship begins to emerge. Perhaps it has been over for a while, which explains why Lavigne has already moved on. We may never know, but with how celeb breakups usually go, it would not be surprising to see either side spilling tea about their ex-lover.
