After a year of at-home virtual live performances, Miley Cyrus took the stage in Tampa, FL for an incredible show in front of a crowd of (masked) healthcare workers for the TikTok Tailgate Super Bowl LV Pre-Show!
The artist performed 20 songs with a mix of everyone’s favorite classics from Cyrus, covers, and songs from her most recent album, Plastic Hearts.
In her true fashion, Cyrus put her heart and soul into the creation of this performance and it shows! The 80s-inspired stage was filled with bright hot pink furniture, including a hot pink fuzzy pool table Cyrus says she decorated herself!
The singer opened the show with a cover Toni Basil‘s “Mickey,” dressed in a black and pink cheerleading outfit with knee caps and boots adorned with rhinestones all over.

Cyrus also featured surprise guests at her show! Iconic musicians Billy Idol and Joan Jett joined the star on stage to perform their iconic songs along with songs from Cyrus’ album. Cyrus surprised the audience with Idol towards the beginning of the show, performing her song “Night Crawling” and Idol’s “White Wedding.” After an outfit change into a black and pink rhinestones halfway into the show, Cyrus brought out Joan Jett and they performed “Bad Karma” and “I Hate Myself For Loving You.”
Along with these incredible performances and covers, Cyrus performed a rock rendition of her most beloved songs, “We Can’t Stop” and “Party in the U.S.A!”
In between songs, the singer honored all the healthcare groups in attendance and thanked them for their service during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Cyrus mentioned that one thing she is grateful about the pandemic is the gift of patience.
“[If we have more] Patience for one another, I think that we can live in a much more kinder and accepting place so for that I’m grateful,” Cyrus tells the crowd.
She continues the show with her famous cover of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” and her title track, “Plastic Hearts”, which are currently trending on TikTok!
After the crowd cheers for an encore, Cyrus comes back and gives and emotional performance of “Wrecking Ball,” she breaks down towards the end of the song and says, “It never gets any easier.”
She ends the show with her legendary song, “The Climb,” to give a message of hope for everyone watching, and serve as a reminder that we can get through these difficult times together.
Cyrus gave all her energy and love and definitely hyped everyone up on an adrenaline high for the game tonight!
