Hannah Brown Did Not Warn Peter Weber About Their ‘Secret Bachelor’ Hookup In New Book

Buckle up Bachelor Nation, because Hannah Brown just spilled the piping hot tea in her new memoir, God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life’s best (and Worst) Moments.

In the tell-all book set to hit shelves on Tuesday, Nov. 23 – Brown reveals that she hooked up with former Bachelor Peter Weber while his season was airing. This bombshell news does not come as a surprise, as the two have had a complicated relationship for several years.

Following his exit from the final three, he became the face of Season 24 of The Bachelor, and Hannah was engaged to an aspiring musician, Jed Wyatt. Shortly after the show wrapped – Alabama Hannah broke off the engagement with the Nashville native, as he had a secret girlfriend back home.

During Weber’s season premiere, reality TV-goers were shocked to see Brown step out of the limo. While many thought she was chasing after his heart, she immediately declared that she was returning his co-pilot wings that he gave her during night one of Season 15 and to wish him well. However, the unexpected encounter sparked new feelings, and Weber asked the former Bachelor star to stay.

“Going back and seeing him as the Bachelor, it brought up a lot,” Hannah shared with People. “Peter told me he’d quit the show, 100 percent, if I could say that I wanted to be with him, I wanted to go on a date with him, but I couldn’t say that I knew for sure.”

Hannah Brown did not commit at the time, and he continued with his journey to find love. During the season, the 30-year-old popped the question to Hannah Ann Sluss with an eye-catching diamond. However, Weber called it quits with the fashion model shortly after on the show.

It wasn’t long until freshly single Brown and Weber crossed paths at an engagement party for Bachelor In Paradise star Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin in February of 2020. She revealed to the magazine that in her book, she confessed that they left the star-studded affair together and ended up in bed. Yet, she confirmed that “the chemistry just wasn’t there.”

“Telling that story, I think it just really gives an honest and vulnerable account of what was kind of going on in my life,” Brown told US Weekly about including the scandal in her upcoming book. “There’s this buildup that kind of happens, you know, and then my brother has the overdose and the stuff with the quarantine crew. It was, like, this perfect storm that unfortunately there were some mistakes and all that, but [it] led me to getting the help that II needed. So, I think that story really was important.”

Following the confession, Weber reacted to the news on his Bachelors in the City podcast [Nov. 18.] “I thought we were just going to keep it private, but I guess that wasn’t the case,” he said. “And I’m totally okay with it, and it’s all good. I don’t mind any of this.”

He also shared that the Bachelor producers warned him not to attend the engagement party after hearing that Hannah Brown would be in attendance. After going against their wishes, he saw her “beautiful dress,” “big, beautiful smile,” and he thought to himself, ‘Phew, alright, how is this going to go?’”

After sneaking out of the party together, he shared that their time together wasn’t the same. “ I agree with what she said, and it wasn’t the same as I think we had originally felt. Nonetheless, it was great to talk and just have someone that kind of understood where I was coming from.” He concluded the podcast episode by mentioning that they hadn’t seen each other since.

“It seems like she’s in such a beautiful relationship, and Hannah is one of the most amazing people I truly have ever met,” he shared. “She has owned her imperfections, and it’s just so attractive, I think, and she’s a really great example of just a god, good person, a good, good heart, and I’m very, very happy for her and her relationship.”
