Taylor Swift and Beyoncé to Battle It Out for “Show of the Summer” In Newly Announced Categories at 2023 MTV VMAs

With less than two weeks left until the 2023 MTV VMAsmore categories have been announced to honor your favorite artists across all genres.

Earlier today (September 1), MTV revealed the nominees for four more categories — “Show of the Summer,” “Group of the Year,” “Song of the Summer presented by M&M’s,” and “Album of the Year” — and it includes artists like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake and Ed Sheeran to name a few.

With voting beginning as early as Sunday (September 3) on MTV’s Instagram Stories, fans will be able to select their favorites instantly on social media, giving artists another chance to bring home a Moon Person during the show later this month (September 12).

With the addition of these all-new Social Categories, Taylor Swift (11) still leads nominations, followed by SZA (8), BLACKPINK, Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo (6), Kim Petras and Sam Smith (5 each), Beyoncé, Diddy, Drake, Ice Spice, Karol G, Metro Boomin, Shakira and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (4 each).
