Kanye West Wears a “White Lives Matter” Shirt At His Yeezy Season 9 Show

Kanye West is making viral statements once again.

The rapper wore a “White Lives Matter” shirt alongside conservative influencer Candace Owens at his Yeezy season nine fashion show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday (October 3).

This isn’t the first time Owens and the rapper-turned-designer have made a viral statement together, having both gone on TMZ in 2018 to dish their stances; the same occasion that West’s “slavery is a choice” statement took place.

Since then, it’s safe to say this unusual duo is known for their controversy and public support for each other regarding their unpopular opinions.

Earlier this year, Owens supported Ye during his public spat with ex-wife Kim Kardashian regarding co-parenting, allowing their nine-year-old daughter North West to have social media.

Owens stated, “Kim is wrong on this one. The psychological effects of social media on young girls is real and documented. It’s actually Kanye that is trying to protect his daughter in this regard and Kim is spinning this as “obsession” and “control.” There are other creative outlets for kids.”

As a result of Kanye’s public spat with Kim, including unusual posts that included Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson, the Yeezy founder was suspended from his Instagram account for twenty-four hours.

According to Page Six, Ye gave a speech before the show started with models wearing his collection. The rapper also talked about Kardashian’s Paris robbery, his fallout with Gap, and former manager Scooter Braun.

For Yeezy season nine’s show, some models included celebrities like ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk and alleged current flame Candice Swanepoel.

The former Gap partner also posted a list of model headshots on Instagram, including names like Kim, Beyonce, Rihanna, Bella Hadid, and others, with the caption, “SZN9.”

Ye tells the audience at his fashion show, “I am Ye, and everyone knows that I am a leader; no one can manage men.”

Is Kanye’s viral moment a publicity stunt for an upcoming album and/or fashion sales? Let us know by leaving a comment below or tweeting us at @celebsecrets.
