Lili Reinhart is speaking her mind about those who extreme dieted for the 2022 Met Gala.
The Riverdale actress took to her Instagram Stories to share her thoughts about the amount of effort stars do in order to lose weight for an event like the Met Gala. Reinhart stated, “To walk on a red carpet and do an interview where you say how starving you are…because you haven’t eaten carbs in the last month… all to fit in a fu***ing dress?”
Reinhart continued, “The ignorance is other-worldly and disgusting. Please stop supporting these stupid, harmful celebrities whose entire image revolves around bodies.”

Although Reinhart never explicitly mentioned anyone, many believe the star was referring to mogul Kim Kardashian. At the Met Gala, Kardashian revealed to the interviewer she lost 16 lbs in 3 weeks in order to fit into the iconic Marilyn Monroe dress. Kardashian also told the interviewer she hadn’t had any carbs or sugars in those three weeks in order to lose weight.
Late on the night of the Met Gala, Kardashian posted to her Instagram story saying, “I’m starving,” as she showcased her hotel room full of donuts and pizza.
Kardashian’s comment about her diet drew criticism from many, now including Reinhart, for unrealistic body standards.
