Let’s face it — ever since Mahogany Lox dropped her new single “It Is What It Is,” we’ve been OBSESSED with her music. The singer and social media influencer knows how to blend fun and edgy pop/R&B vibes into her music all while adding a personal touch for her fans.
“[It Is What It Is] is about being in a relationship with somebody but not really — more like a friends with benefits situation — and the other person wants it to be more,” Lox told us exclusively.
While the song was tapped by her former songwriting neighbor the Instagram queen wanted to make the lyric video more personal. Filmed in her apartment, the fun visual featured her real life BF Carlos.
We met up with Mahogany recently to talk about “It Is What It Is” and she confirmed that new music is DEFINITELY on the way! She also opened up about being a social media influencer and how sometimes the Internet can have its downsides. Check out the full interview below.
