The Met Gala is back and they’ve recruited some pretty great stars to add to the glam and glory of one of fashion’s biggest nights.
Poet Amanda Gorman, musician Billie Eilish actor (the youngest co-chair in Met history), Timothée Chalamet, and tennis extraordinaire Naomi Osaka are set to co-chair the most talked about party, which is set to take place twice in the next year; first in September and again in May 2022.
Along with the co-chairs, Instagram’s Adam Mosseri, designer Tom Ford, and of course, Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour will serve as the honorary chairs for the night.
The co-chairs help curate the guest list, decide what food should be served, the decor, and much more to create the perfect ambiance of the entire night, and who would be a better fit for the job than four different stars that embody the theme of the Met Gala (American fashion) or better said, individualism?

Amongst the announcement of the co-chairs, news also dropped that Chalamet will be doing double-duty with Gorman and Ford as co-hosts of the Met Gala.
Last year’s Met Gala also had some of Hollywood’s best, as co-chairs including Meryl Streep (We cannot believe we missed out on a Miranda Priestly comeback!), Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Emma Stone, but unfortunately due to the pandemic, it was postponed and ultimately canceled.
The tickets for this invite-only event have reportedly already sold out and as mentioned before will be a two-parter this year with the “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” exhibit opening on Sept. 18 and “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” opening on May 5 of next year.
We cannot wait to see what the star-studded red carpet will look like and more importantly the iconic, rule-breaking restroom photos that always leak somehow.
