Miranda Cosgrove Gushes Over Harry Styles Cameo During “iCarly” Reunion

Miranda Cosgrove reveals she blushed over Harry Styles when One Direction guest starred on an episode of iCarly back in 2012.

As we get ready for the iCarly revival to drop on Paramount+,  Miranda Cosgrove (Carly Shay), Jerry Trainor (Spencer Shay), and Nathan Kress (Freddie Benson), sat down with Hunter March from E! News, to talk about their favorite memories during the show.

Hunter asked if there was anyone they fancied during the show. Trainor jumped in and cited the girl from the 2009 episode. In the episode, Spencer wore a tuxedo everyday to impress a girl named, “Veronica,” played by Valerie Azlynn

“I liked the girl from the tuxedo. She was beautiful, and I was just like [makes flustered sounds], and I couldn’t talk to her in real life. But in no world would she ever,” says Trainor.

Hunter still wanted to hear if Cosgrove or Kress had anyone they wanted to mention. The host asked Cosgrove, “Was there ever a romantic guest for you that you were like, ‘Oh, my god‘?”

The actress responded, “I don’t know. I can’t just pick one, they’re all…” Kress jumped in and tried to push Cosgrove to drop a name. She responded, “OK, Harry Styles.”

One Direction guest starred in an episode of iCarly back in 2012. In the episode, Styles catches a bad case of “jungle worms,” and becomes too ill to perform on iCarly. Once Carly, Sam, and Freddie realized he was faking it, they bring in Gibby to stand in, to make Styles think he is being replaced.

At the end of the episode, all the members of the band sang their hit single, “What Makes You Beautiful.”
