New Music Friday Country Edition: Ernest and Jelly Roll Team Up for Ultimate Duet & Kacey Musgraves Unveils “Deeper Well”

Happy New Music Friday, fam! With Country music as hot as it can be, tons of our favorite artists are releasing a ton of new tunes that are about to top our upcoming playlists for the summer.

This week, Ernest and Jelly Roll teamed up for a cheeky tune that’s been making buzz all around Music Row.  Featured on his upcoming album Nashville, Tennessee, “I Went to College / I Went to Jail” was written by Ernest Smith, Chandler Paul Walters, Luke Bryan and Rivers Rutherford, and depicts the country stars-in-the-making unconventional starts to fame. Both Nashville natives, Ernest went to a college for a year before dropping out and Jelly Roll served time in prison, where he even gave a personal shout out to the jail he called home for a bit.

For new albums this week, Kacey Musgraves’ dropped her fifth body of work, Deeper Well, and it’s safe to say that it’s nothing short of amazing. Other buzz-worthy releases we keep spinnin’ are Kenny Chesney’s “Wherever You Are Tonight” ahead of Born real soon, Tyler Hubbard’s “Vegas”, Riley Green’s “Way Out Here”, Willie Nelsons “The Border”, Ben Rector and Hailey Whitters’ “Color Up My World” and The Black Crowes and Lainey Wilson’s “Wilted Rose”.

Nashville’s crop of talent is truly undeniable, and artists like RaeLynn, Zach Hood, Kameron Marlowe, Sam Barber, Dylan Conrique, MaRynn Taylor, AUSTIN, Abbey Cone, Chayce Beckham, Mickey Guyton, Tenille Townes, Dustin Kensrue, Ian Munsick, Aaron Lewis, Halle Kearns, Faren Rachels, Cyndi Thomson, Ray Fulcher, Matt Koziol, and Dylan Marlowe prove that with their latest songs that also dropped today (March 15).
