New Music Friday: Zayn Malik Drops His First Solo Release in Two Years, Shortly After His Unexpected Appearance on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy”

Following his appearance on Call Her Daddy, serving as his first sit-down interview in nearly six years, it appears that Zayn Malik is stepping back into the limelight after some time away. With some new tunes on the horizon, his unexpected conversation Alex Cooper was just the beginning of everything he has in store.

After a series of captionless teasers all over his Instagram profile, the former One Direction member announced last Thursday (July 13th) that he had a brand new single coming sooner than fans had anticipated, ultimately sending all Directioners into a frenzy.

As a part of this week’s New Music Friday, we can finally stream the hot new track for ourselves! “Love Like This” is officially out on all music streaming platforms, and we are certain that it will be climbing the charts in no time.

After signing with Mercury Records, sources close to the 30-year-old say that the music ZAYN currently has in the works will be VERY different than his previous smash hits: “PILLOWTALK,” “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” with Taylor Swift, “Dusk Till Dawn” with Sia and more.

With a fresh start at a new record label, It is safe to assume that “Love Like This” is our first glimpse into a new era for the former boy band member, and we seriously can’t wait to see what the rest of it will entail.
