Rihanna is back to hold her spot as the Met Gala queen!
The star, who skipped last year’s event because she was expecting her first child, attended this year’s big event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 1).
Rihanna wore a stunning white Valentino gown with a 16-foot train and a shawl made of embroidered white flowers to cover her growing baby bulge. 30 seamstresses worked together to create the cape, which included 30 Camellias, 500 petals, and 25 leaves.
In a nod to the late Karl Lagerfeld, RiRi completed the ensemble with a pair of white sunglasses that had thick faux lashes attached to them. With the help of Fenty Skin Plush Puddin and Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in “Uncensored,” she gave the look a strong red lip.
The soon-to-be mother of two was accompanied by her significant other, A$AP Rocky, who was dressed in a black kilt and suit jacket over jeans. A$AP also paid homage to the creator of Chanel by donning a single black leather glove and matching black sunglasses.
A$AP assisted his lady love with the big reveal as she unbuttoned the floral hood to unveil her stunning attire that emphasized her expanding baby belly. The “Diamonds” singer was able to display a stunning choker necklace and substantial pendant earrings with her chic, half-up, half-down hairstyle.
The couple was the last to arrive, and they did not let us down when they showed up at the Met!
