The Philadelphia Eagles Remain Unbeaten After 35-13 Win Over the Steelers to Improve to 7-0

The Philadelphia Eagles continue to fly as they improved to 7-0 on the season in their week eight 35-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers to remain the only unbeaten team in football.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide-out A.J. Brown starred for the Eagles on the offensive side of the ball, while C.J. Gardner-Johnson starred for Philly on the defensive side.

The combination of Hurts and Brown was on full display as the two connected on three touchdowns in the Eagles first four possessions of the game. Hurts finished the contest with 285 yards through the air to go along with a career-high four touchdown passes on the day; three to Brown and then another one to former Colts wide receiver Zach Pascal. Brown joined Hurts in the career-high department as the superstar wideout had 156 receiving yards to go along with six receptions, with three coming as touchdowns, as previously mentioned.

A couple of other offensive stars on the day for the Eagles were running back Miles Sanders, who finished the ballgame with nine carries for 92 yards and a touchdown and star tight end Dallas Goedert, who had six receptions for 64 yards.

As for Philadelphia’s defense, they were all over the field, causing havoc as the unit ended with six sacks in the game, including one by star safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson who finished with an interception and eight tackles to go along with his lone sack.

Big defensive lineman Javon Hargrave also significantly impacted this one, finishing with two sacks.

This 7-0 start has been so impressive by the Eagles, and second-year head coach Nick Sirianni and his staff should receive much praise for the team’s play so far this season.

As for Pittsburgh, their offense was able to put 10 points on the board in the first half, but when you are playing a high-powered offense like Philadelphia’s, you will need a lot more points to stay in the game.

The Steelers will now have a bye week which may work out well for Mike Tomlin and crew to try to readjust to see if they can turn their season around in week ten as they play host to the New Orleans Saints.

The Eagles will look to move to 8-0 as they head to Houston in week ten to take on Dameon Pierce and the Texans on Thursday Night Football.
