The only undefeated team in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles have made a massive splash by trading a fourth-round pick to the Chicago Bears in exchange for all-pro pass rusher Robert Quinn. Quinn, who broke the Bears all-time single-season sack record a season ago with 18.5, makes arguably the best defense in the league even better.

The Philadelphia Eagles are once again showing their fans and the rest of the league that they are all in on competing for a championship this season. Their play on the field indicates that they are the best team in the league as they are the only undefeated team at 6-0, and their actions off the field, like adding Quinn, also prove that they are in it to win it. This is just another message from the franchise to the rest of the league that they are not satisfied and are willing to do whatever it takes to be as prepared as possible for a Super Bowl run.
To compare this move by Philly to one from last season, perhaps Quinn could make a similar impact on the Eagles as Von Miller did on the Rams in their route to winning the Super Bowl.
Since being drafted with the 14th overall pick in the 2011 draft by the Rams, Quinn has had a very successful career, including last season’s record-breaking season, as previously mentioned, and his career-high 19-sack season in 2013 as a member of the Rams organization.
Something of note is that Quinn’s leadership has improved recently, especially during his time in Chicago which is yet another essential asset Philadelphia will be adding; also, Quinn has yet to win a Super Bowl in his 12-year career, so being on the top contender in the league will add even more motivation for Quinn going forward.
The Bears are already taking the news hard as star linebacker Roquan Smith broke down crying when a media member notified him of Quinn’s departure from the team.

All in all, Eagles fans should be thrilled to get another boost to their already contending team, and as for Bears fans, it will be a tough pill to swallow as Quinn has made such an unforgettable impact in his short tenure as a member of the team.
Quinn will likely make his Eagles debut on Sunday at home in Lincoln Financial Field against Kenny Pickett and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
