Travis Scott stopped his performance at Coney Island on Monday, July 5, to tell fans to climb down from a truss, as reported by TMZ.
According to TMZ, the audience was packed with fans, which is why some fans decided to climb up a lighting truss. One of the fans was even sporting a Spiderman costume.
The outlet reports that Scott saw what was happening and stopped the show to tell fans to come down from the truss. The fans listened to the rapper and came down. Once the fans were back on the ground the rapper continued on with his performance.
This performance marks one of the first several performances the rapper has done since the Astroworld tragedy. Scott continues to face lawsuits from the incidents that occurred at the festival, which resulted in casualties.
In a past interview with Charlamagne tha God, the rapper insisted that he was not aware of what was happening at Astroworld. Videos of fans form the event show them trying to garner the rapper’s attention to stop the show.
This recent performance at Coney Island is Scott trying to pay more attention to the crowd and not incite mayhem.
