Disney Channel is officially taking us back to the place that defined our childhoods with Camp Rock 3 arriving on August 13th, and trust us when we say we are screaming, crying, and completely unable to play it cool.
Earlier today (July 1) Disney unveiled the highly anticipated flick’s first look, and it introduces a brand-new generation of campers while giving fans their first listen to “One Beat Away,” the movie’s infectious lead single performed by Liamani Segura and the rest of the cast. Equal parts nostalgic and fresh, the track feels tailor-made for summer playlists—and yes, we’ve already got it on repeat.
This time around, the story follows Connect 3 as they return to Camp Rock after losing the opening act for their reunion tour. Hoping to discover music’s next breakout star, the legendary band unknowingly sparks fierce competition, unexpected friendships, new romances and plenty of drama as campers fight for the opportunity of a lifetime.
Leading the next generation are Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Sherry Cola, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts and Ava Jean, while franchise favorites Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Maria Canals-Barrera all return to the camp that started it all.
Earlier this year, Celeb Secrets caught up with stars Liamani and Hudson on the red carpet at the 2026 American Music Awards in Las Vegas, where they couldn’t stop teasing what fans can expect when they head back to Camp Rock.
“I have two movies coming out this summer… one being Descendants in July and one being Camp Rock in August,” Segura told us. “It’s gonna be a crazy summer, but it’s gonna be filled with fun things, and I think the fans are gonna love to see the new characters and what we’re bringing to the franchises.”
Joining one iconic Disney franchise is exciting enough — but becoming part of two? Segura admitted there was definitely some pressure.
“Honestly, it was a little nerve-wracking jumping in only because these franchises are so loved and respected already, so I think we had really big shoes to fill,” she shared. “But I think we did a really great job, and the dancing, the music—it just feels so nostalgic, and I think the fans are really going to love it.”
And yes, working alongside the Jonas Brothers was every bit as surreal as fans would imagine.
“Working with the Jonas Brothers and Demi [Lovato] being an executive producer… it was so much fun,” Segura said. “They’re such down-to-earth people, and they’re so hilarious. Having them back is such an honor.”
Her co-star Hudson Stone echoed that same excitement, revealing that stepping into the Camp Rock universe felt like a full-circle moment.
“I can’t even describe how wild it is for me to be in this Camp Rock world,” Stone told Celeb Secrets. “Never as a little kid would I think I’d be watching these movies and then actually living through it. It’s gonna be so much nostalgia. If you’re a fan of the first two, you’re gonna be a fan of this one—but it’s also gonna pull in a whole new audience.”
As for sharing scenes with Disney royalty?
“They’re so cool,” Stone laughed of the Jonas Brothers. “They’re so talented and really an inspiration to work with.”
He also teased that fans shouldn’t sleep on the soundtrack, hinting that several songs — including “One Beat Away” — have serious hit potential.
“I think there’s a few Camp Rock songs that could make it,” he told us with a smile.
