After beggin’ for more music from Måneskin, the Italian quartet is back with their highly-anticipated project titled RUSH!
Consisting of vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio, the group began releasing original music in 2017. It was their cover of “Beggin’” by Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons that truly launched them into stardom, topping the charts AND ultimately earning them a GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist.
Since the viral success of “Beggin’,” the band has continued to put out more music, including singles like “SUPERMODEL,” “THE LONELIEST,” “LA FINE,” “GOSSIP” and more. Fans have been anxiously awaiting a full-length project from Måneskin, and they can finally stream RUSH! now on all platforms.
Being known for its unique style, the 17-track project contains songs with rock, pop, funk and glam styles, making it unlike anything we’ve ever heard before. To top it all off, RUSH! is the band’s first album with lyrics primarily in English, and we are so excited to sing along!
Måneskin isn’t the only artist who put out a FIRE new project as a part of this week’s New Music Friday. Trippie Redd released MANSION MUSIK, Ice Spice released Like..?, HARDY released the mockingbird & THE CROW, Quevedo released DONDE QUIERO ESTAR, Lukas Graham released 4 (The Pink Album) and more.
Coco Jones even put out a deluxe version of her album What I Didn’t Tell You, adding songs like “Fallin,” “Simple,” “Put You On” and “Plan B” to the tracklist. We LOVE that Coco Jones is back and better than ever in 2023!
Albums and EPs aside, there were some incredible singles on this week’s New Music Friday playlist too, including Sam Smith with “Gloria,” The Kid LAROI with “I Can’t Go Back To The Way It Was (Intro),” Kali Uchis with “I Wish you Roses,” Ed Sheeran with “F64,” A$AP Rocky with “Same Problems?,” Rebecca Black with “Sick To My Stomach,” mazie with “it’s not me (it’s u),” Fall Out Boy with “Love From The Other Side,” Kim Petras with “brrr,” Gloss Up and GloRilla with “Bestfrenn,” Macklemore and DJ Premier with “HEROES” and more.
boygenius, consisting of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus, made their return to music this week as well, dropping “$20,” “Emily I’m Sorry” and “True Blue” in a surprising triple release. We are absolutely OBSESSED with all three tracks!
