New Music Friday (Country Edition): Sabrina Carpenter Teams Up with Dolly Parton for Reimagined Version of “Please Please Please” & More – February 14, 2025

Valentine’s Day may be today (February 14), but the love for fresh country tunes will last forever. This week’s New Music Friday lineup is packed with everything from heart-melting ballads to rowdy anthems, proving that country music has a song for every mood. Whether you’re in your feelings, ready to hit the dance floor, or just vibing with some good old-fashioned storytelling, there’s something here for you.

Kicking things off with an iconic collaboration — Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton have teamed up for a fresh take on “Please Please Please,” giving us the country-pop crossover we never knew we needed on the deluxe version of her GRAMMY Award-winning album Short n’ Sweet.  The duo released a music video for the reimagined track, which was shot in Nashville and co-directed by Sabrina and Sean Price Williams.

Additionally, The War And Treaty bring powerful storytelling and soul with their new album Plus One, featuring the standout track “Love Like Whiskey.” The track, which they also released a music video for today, is soul-soothing portrait of a love strong enough to overcome any obstacle, co-written by the Trotters and Miranda Lambert.

Jon Pardi is bringing the romance with “Love The Lights Out,” while Dierks Bentley gets real about heartbreak in “She Hates Me.” Zach Bryan delivers raw emotion with “Dear Miss,” and Russell Dickerson drops a wedding-ready version of “Bones.” Looking for something upbeat? Graham Barham is serving high-energy country grit with “Oil Money,” and Chancey Williams takes us on a road trip with “Miles On Me.”

Rising stars are also making waves this week! Wyatt Flores is keeping things raw and real with “Stillwater – Live at Cain’s Ballroom,” from his live album Live at Cain’s Ballroom while Abbey Cone drops the intriguing “I Kissed My Friend Last Night.”

From powerhouse vocals to twangy guitars, this week’s releases are a perfect mix of old-school country charm and fresh, genre-blending sounds.
