2020: Doja Cat is Out of This World

With the increase in popularity of TikTok throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, many people have found their favorite new artists through sound bites that go viral. One singer who has benefitted from this: Doja Cat.

It is hard to imagine life without songs like “Say So” and “Kiss Me More,” especially with the number of hours we have scrolled through the sounds on TikTok watching everyone’s take on them.

Doja won “Best New Artist” last year and is up for five awards this year, including “Video of the Year” and “Artist of the Year.” Along with her hosting gig, this will be a big night for her.
