2015: “Miley, what’s good?”
Rebel Wilson had the best and most relatable reaction to Nicki Minaj calling out host Miley Cyrus during the 2015 VMAs.
“And now back to this b**ch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press,” Minaj said after winning the award for “Best Hip-Hop Video.” “Miley, what’s good?”
For reference, Minaj had made comments that “Anaconda” had not gotten nominated for “Video of the Year” because it was not focused on skinny white women. This seemed to be aimed at Taylor Swift, who was the sole white woman nominated in the category for “Bad Blood.” A few days before the awards show, Cyrus commented to The New York Times Magazine that Minaj’s claims were “not very polite.”
Minaj’s response became a huge meme and Cyrus did her best to brush it off and continue hosting, but goodness were we shook!
