Ever since she was crowned the first American Idol in 2002, Kelly Clarkson has become a fan favorite performer with her incredibly energy and songs that you want to scream along to. So it is no surprise that she brought the house down with her performance of “Since U Been Gone” at the 2005 VMAs.
What was a surprise though was the nearly 3,000 gallons of water that rained down on Clarkson and the audience. Barefoot and emotionally charged, Clarkson brought the audience into her performance and gave us an easy reminder of why we chose her to be launched into stardom just three years earlier.
