The Rocky Horror Show

Though it’s now more iconic for its film – which is still in limited release 46 years after its premiere, making it the longest-running theatrical release in film history – The Rocky Horror Show is still a favorite to be performed each year around Halloween.

Opening on Broadway in 1975, The Rocky Horror Show follows Brad (Bill Miller) and Janet (Abigale Haness) as they lose their way driving one night and happen upon the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry). After an interesting reception, they learn that he has created life by making Rocky Horror (Kim Milford) whom Frank-N-Furter intends to marry.

The cult following of the show is largely made up of LGBTQ+ members who see Brad and Janet entering a world of sexual desires. Frank-N-Furter is a transvestite and makes love to both Brad and Janet. And the campiness of it all adds to the fun.
