Pre-show host Lil Rel Howery made another appearance during the ceremony to host “Questlove’s Oscar Trivia” put together by musical director Questlove.

First, he questioned Andra Day about Prince’s “Purple Rain” getting nominated for Best Original Song. While she was censored on television networks, she said it probably was not, which was “bullshit.” And she was right (on both accounts).

Then Howery asked Daniel Kaluuya about Donna Summer’s “Last Dance.” Glenn Close joked that Kaluuya was too young to know and was right with Kaluuya guessing that it only got nominated, though it won in 1978.

Finally, he got to Close herself and she surprised everyone when she knew the “Da Butt” from Spike Lee’s School Daze. The eight-time Oscar nominee was also censored for her feelings about it not getting nominated before getting up and doing the dance.

This 74-year-old laughed at herself along with the audience and proved that you do not need to win to have a good time.
