1974: Host David Niven gets an unexpected naughty surprise
At the end of the 46th Academy Awards, all host David Niven was trying to do was introduce Elizabeth Taylor to present Best Picture. During the introduction, a naked man somehow got past everyone and streaked across the stage sending the audience into a frenzy.
Niven didn’t quite seem to know what to do and joked, “Isn’t it fascinating to think that probably the only laugh that man will ever get in his life is by stripping off and showing his shortcomings?”
