2017: Fifth Harmony Eject Camila Cabello from Their Performance
Talk about pettiness! Fifth Harmony took their dislike for former group member Camila Cabello to the next level when they performed a medley of “Angel” and “Down” at the 2017 VMAs.
At the start of their performance, there were five members on stage despite Cabello leaving the group in December 2016. When Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui and Normani pushed back their hoods, the fifth member was pulled right off the stage.
“It definitely hurt my feelings,” Cabello told The New York Times. “I wasn’t expecting it, I wasn’t prepared for it.”
The girl group went on to win their final VMA that night for “Best Pop Video,” while Cabello has since won four VMAs on her own, including “Artist of the Year” in 2018.
