You can try to fight us, but there is no better basketball movie than Space Jam. Combining the iconic Looney Tunes characters with basketball legend Michael Jordan, was still going strong with the Chicago Bulls, created a major success that audiences loved even if the critics didn’t.

The film is a fictionalized account of the year in between Jordan’s initial retirement in 1993 and his comeback in 1995. When the Looney Tunes are threatened by a group of aliens who threaten to enslave them, they challenge them to a basketball game and enlist Jordan’s help.

With elements of live-action and animation, the film is visually stunning and brings the amount of humor you would expect from Bugs Bunny and company. A standalone sequel comes out this summer with LeBron James in the lead role.
