Eminem is headed to the VMAs!
The 15x GRAMMY winner and arguable one of the best-selling musicians of the 21st century has been confirmed to perform at the 2024 MTV VMAs, airing on Wednesday night (September 11) on MTV.
Expected to treat fans to the first TV show performance from his recently released 12th studio LP The Death of Slim Shady, the 51-year-old is also up for 8 awards including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, Best Hip-Hop, and Song of the Summer for the Death of Slim Shady’s lead single, “Houdini.” If he wins just one award, he’ll surpass Peter Gabriel as the most decorated male artist in VMAs history.
Eminem is no stranger to the VMAs stage. Eminem last opened the VMAs in 2010 with a powerful performance of “Not Afraid,” followed by a duet with Rihanna for “Love the Way You Lie” and last performed in 2022 with Snoop Dogg, transforming the MTV stage for a first of its kind performance of “From the D 2 The LBC” inspired by the world of the Otherside metaverse.
The performer list for the 2024 MTV VMAs is nothing less of star-studded, as it includes host Megan Thee Stallion, Anitta, Benson Boone, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Halsey, KAROL G, LL COOL J Lenny Kravitz, LISA, Rauw Alejandro, Sabrina Carpenter, Shawn Mendes and Katy Perry, who will also receive this year’s Video Vanguard Award. The Extended Play Stage Presented by Doritos® will feature a performance by Jessie Murph and Teddy Swims.
The first round of announced presenters includes Addison Rae, Alessandra Ambrosio, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Big Sean, Busta Rhymes, Carson Daly, Cyndi Lauper, Damiano David (Måneskin), DANNA, DJ Khaled, Fat Joe, Flavor Flav, French Montana, Halle Bailey, Jordan Chiles, Lil Nas X, Miranda Lambert, Naomi Scott, Paris Hilton, Suki Waterhouse, Thalía and Tinashe.
The 2024 MTV VMAs will air LIVE from the UBS Arena in New York on Wednesday, September 11th @ 8PM ET/PT on MTV.
