The 29-year-old is not only making “hot girl history” by hosting the big show, but she’s also taking the stage to deliver a performance onstage that everyone will be talking about days after.
The 2x winner and 24x nominee, with a total of 7 nods this year, looks to add to her 2 Moon Persons in categories including “Best Collaboration” with tourmate GloRilla and “Best Hip Hop,” the same category she last won in 2020 for her chart-topper “Savage.” She also earned 2 nods in social categories “Song of the Summer,” Presented by Hilton, and “Best Trending Video” for her latest global hit “MAMUSHI” with Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, generating over 150 million global streams (and counting) and the song also recently reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Viral chart in Japan.
Megan joins a growing list of star-studded performers that are expected to hit the VMAs stage this year, including Anitta, Benson Boone, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Halsey, KAROL G, LL COOL J Lenny Kravitz, LISA, Rauw Alejandro, Sabrina Carpenter, Shawn Mendes and Katy Perry, who will also receive this year’s Video Vanguard Award.
